Well, I take this as a compliment! Coconut cream pie for you!!

One thing you forgot to say is that coconut is in all shampoos, as some form

of sodium lauryl sulfate. So we pay homage to the homely coconut each day, in

the U.S. anyway.

I would go so far as to say that it is incumbent upon all posters to make

some comment about the coconut in every post, since you can't go far in

Kerala without seeing a coconut. It is only fair. "Acknowledge the Nut!!"

And, in keeping with the mother theme of this list, I'll point out

that coconut oil is about 50% lauric acid, which is an important

component of mother's milk (3 to 21% depending on the diet of the

mother.) In the body it is converted to monolaurin, which is

antibacterial and antiviral. Coconut oil has shown great promise as a

treatment for HIV/AIDS.
