Guest guest
Hello, Can anybody tell me where I can find (in which volume of Bhajanamritam) or at least the beginning words of the bhajan which was sung before the last one during Devi Bhava at San Ramon on Monday. It was the one sung during the marriages at the end of Devi Bhava and it is in Malayalam. If I am not wrong it was about Amma, Kali and ego. There were words in it which I vaguely remember to mean something like "the one who cut and threw me away" or something similar. Thank you Murali
Guest guest
Hi Murali I was'nt lucky enough to be in San Ramon. Still in India waiting for mother. I guess the song which u want sounds as "chillam chillam chilangakal padham padham muzhangave uranjulanjulaasyayaarnnu nrithamaadi kaalikaaa... padham padham muzhakkiyaadi vaalilakki bhairavi Enn manasarinju thalli ugra haasyamaarnnahoo Soolamittalikkiyente njaaninee pilarnnaval.... Niswanaakki enneyaathma veedhiyil erinjaval. ...................... " I typed in from memory , hence some mistakes can be there ... Hope u enjoyed the divine ecstasy of the song, that too when real kali is right infront. I dont know which bhajanaamritham do this song belong to. Guest guest
Manesh & Jami, Yes that is the one I was looking for. I am really grateful to both of you in helping me find the bhajan which brought my attention back during Devi Bhava when my mind as usual was wandering around. Thank you, Murali Ammachi, Jami Blakeley <jami108> wrote: > Jai Maa!! > I'm at work right now, so I don't have my books with > me, but "Jhillam Jhillam" is in Bhajanamritam Volume > 3. > > Jai Ma! > --Aravind > > --- Manesh <manesh.mohan@w...> wrote: > > > > Hi Murali > > > > I was'nt lucky enough to be in San Ramon. > > Still in India waiting for mother. > > > > I guess the song which u want sounds as > > > > "chillam chillam chilangakal > > padham padham muzhangave > > uranjulanjulaasyayaarnnu nrithamaadi kaalikaaa... > > > > padham padham muzhakkiyaadi vaalilakki bhairavi > > Enn manasarinju thalli ugra haasyamaarnnahoo > > > > Soolamittalikkiyente njaaninee pilarnnaval.... > > Niswanaakki enneyaathma veedhiyil erinjaval. > > > > ...................... > > " > > > > I typed in from memory , hence some mistakes can be > > there ... > > > > Hope u enjoyed the divine ecstasy of the song, that > > too when real kali is right infront. > > > > I dont know which bhajanaamritham do this song > > belong to. > > > > > > Ohm Namah Sivaya > > > > -manesh > > > > >
Guest guest
Bhajanamritam, Vol III, pp 88-90 (begins at bottom of page 88) "Jhilam Jhilam" The translation of the first verse: Kali danced vigirously, the sounds 'jhilam, jhilam' of Her anklets resounding everywhere. Then Bhairavi shook Her body; She brandished Her sword, and then with a roar, She cut away the last vestiges of my mind". I was hoping they would rock the place with Amrita Vahini at the Dearborn devi bhava. Oh well, at least I have part of that boat race bhajan on the "Amrita varshini" video. Guest guest
Jai Ma! I keep praying they will release a recording of "Amrita Varshini." Not only is it an incredibly joyous song, it's also the song Big Swami led during my wedding.
