Namah Shivaya, Avinash.

Thank you for the story below. We have some things in common. I have just

moved to Hyderabad myself (first time in this city) from New York, and I

went to visit Amma's new Brahmastanam temple in Mahindra Hills here. It's

really incredibly lovely. Amma will visit it around Feb.19 this year.

For myself, I encountered Amma in 1989 in NY and have been seeing her

since...with the notable exception of one year early on...when I got

lazy...and Amma asked me next year why I didn't come...well, that was

that....had to go from then on...orders from Above!

I saw the Ramakrishna Mutt you referred to...the annual Bengali Durga Puja

was held near there...I really enjoyed attending it in Oct. Having grown up

in Cal, it brought back great memories. And re: your mention of Kali, I

think the same of Amma too. I grew up under the auspices of Calcutta Kali

(we used to visit Kalighat temple all the time, and sometimes Dakhineswar

and Belur Math too)...and I think she is extremely powerful and protective

of her devotees. The funny thing was that I never had much of a personal

connection to Kali WHILE I was in Calcutta...just trailed to temple after my

parents...and looked forward to the sandesh(!)...but since I met Amma, Kali

has revealed herself to be very much involved with me still! I guess I

might have thought I left her behind in Cal 17 years ago, but she travelled

right along beside me. I guess mothers don't let go of you, even if you let

go of their hand. In fact, if you are interested, I have a very recent

story of Kali's grace....let me know if you want to hear it....don't feel

like a general post on this one.

Best regards,

Usha

Dear Usha your letter was simply amazing. I was one of the volunteer

in 1999 for ammachi's tour in hyderabad. Same year I moved to United

States, unfortunatley I never had been to brahmasthanam temple and I

regret that I missed the pranaprathishta in my home city.

If my guess is right, was the name of venue where annual durga

puja was held is pingali Venkatram reddy hall, if that is so,that is

also one of the venues where amamchi's programe was held in 1998 and

1999.

I would sincerely like to share your Kali's experience, if your

willing to share with this new found brother( with kali's grace). I

am uncompramising Kali's devotee, this you kind find in my letters

posted here with lot of rajasic nature, which I am trying hard to

change into sattvic, hope one day I will do.

Moreover if you have any questions regarding hyd, u can email

them to me, I will try my level best to help you.

Kali's son
