Guest guest
First of all, the truth is that much of what is claimed about Sai Baba (him not actually healing people or help people) can very well be said about Amma. Uplifting stories are nice, but not an accurate picture of what to expect from being an Amma devotee. For every "uplifting" story, I'm sure there's a hundred devotees being left out in the cold, so to say with Karma being the excuse. But certain people, like to ignore that aspect of reality. There are many christians (even Bible christians) in India, and it being a poor country, I'm sure some could be pursuaded to say things that weren't true for needed money. Bible Christians have the most to fear from a man who says he'll re-incarnate into a 3rd Baba, a picture manifested of which looks like Jesus and the second coming (not that I care). For those who don't believe people can be such liars, right now I literally have the FBI doing surveillance on me because co-workers (trying to get me fired) told my boss that I said I'd bring a gun to work and shoot my bosses (years ago). I finally got them to move out of the apartment across the way after trying to run my car into one of their agent's cars because I couldn't even leave the house to go grocery shopping without being followed. I think they've watched Minority Report too many times. Years ago, my brother had a problem with one of his co-workers going into internet chat rooms using my brother's identity to meet girls, trying to cause problems for my brother who is happily married. It appears that some people obviously lead a sheltered life and don't encounter people who are truly demonic in every sense of the word. Here's some more of what Ammachi "supposedly" said about other gurus, when asked. Start reading the thread that begins with "An Account of Ammachi's take on Frank" at this Adi Da page: http://lightgate.net/archives/daism-03/daism-03.mv ?module=view&viewid=1813&row=190 Here's some samples from their discussions: (snip) It's interesting that She told someone it was ok to visit Sathya Sai Baba, considering how I heard later She angrily burned all his books (according to a report by a poster at the kwf). Andy was puzzled by Her granting ok to a questioner, because he was aware of all the reports surfacing about Sai Baba also.(snip) This all plays out worse for Ammachi than Sai Baba. Why? Because she knew and did nothing about it. How do I know? Because she runs on the platform of all-knowing. Ask the high level desciples, and they will affirm this. Therefore, she knew, and only burned the books, if she did so at all, after public pressure made it obvious that she had to. OR, she did not feel his phallic philandering was really such a problem: that his virtue exceeded his vices. If this is the case, it raises both questions about her own indulgences, her validity of perception of moral/spiritual Ammachi, Ellen Lamb <jyotsna2> wrote: > Yes, Nick, I agree with you.
