just wanted to share with you some leters from

patients at AIMS, Amma's hospital ..poor people

desperately in need of help who were helped by Amma to

get free medical treatment ..

 

 

 

Senning operation

"Pranams to the lotus feet of the love incarnate

Amma,

My child's disease got cured because of Amma's

blessings. He is fine now, heartfelt thanks to my

Amma. We will always be obliged to Amma for helping us

by giving the amount for the operation. My child's

father is a coolie and if he goes for work a day, then

he just gets Rs.100. More over he doesn’t get work

regularly, so it's very difficult for us to make a

living. We have to reduce our needs in order to find

money for my second child's treatment.

 

Jiljith's brain doesn't have proper growth. He has to

continue his medicines till the age of 15. We don't

have money even to buy medicines for even a week. I

have back pain and I too have to take medicines

regularly. We don't even have a house. We stay with

one of my aunts. We had to suffer a lot in our life.

My father has kidney problems. He is taking medicines

for the past seven years. We couldn't pay one lakh

rupees for the operation because of all these reasons.

All the doctors, nurses and other staffs of this

hospital were very nice. We will always be obliged to

Amma for giving us operation worth one lakh rupees

free of cost. It was Amma who gave our life back. My

sorrow became less after coming to Amma. We wish to

come to Amma again and live praying to Amma. Thanks to

Amma for all the help."

My daughter was under treatment at Panagad Govt.

hospital for heart disease from the past six months.

In between a doctor who visited her school recommended

Amma's hospital. Medicines were given for three months

after which an operation was necessary. My daughter's

operation was successful because of Amma's kindness.

Out of the Rs. 65,000 we just had to pay 10,000. I

just possess three cents of land and a hut. I bought

two cows on loan. That is my only earning. I don't

know how to thank Amma for the help given Thanks to

the Doctors, nurses, staffs of patient services and

all others of the hospital who have rendered excellent

"Humble Pranams to Vallikavilamma,

I am Balan from Calicut district. My daughter shiny

was ill since the past 18 years. Inspite of many

treatments , there was no change in her condition.

Doctors recommended a costly operation, which I

couldn't afford. I just possess a hut and 15 cents of

land. I have three daughters, the eldest one is

suffering from the disease. Till now treatment was

done with the help of neighbours. After that I came to

Amma's hospital and Doctors recommended for an

operation of 60,000. Amma understood my sorrows, and

the operation was free. I'll be always thankful for

this.

Patient: Arun Ashok, Male - 5 years of age

Surgery/Procedure: Arthroscopy

"We pray for Amma's blessings.

This letter is for Amma. Amma, Jagadambika,

Jagadeshwari, there is no other support other than

Amma for us. Please don't leave us Amma. My son Arun

is under treatment from the sixth month of his birth.

He had pain in his left leg. He still has pain. We

took him to many hospitals. But there was no change in

his condition. Then we came to Amma's hospital. After

check up doctors said that an operation should be done

immediately.

 

We were financially very weak. There are four members

in our family. My mother gave birth to nine children.

I am her seventh daughter. My husband is a driver. We

find it very difficult to make both ends meet with my

husband's low income. We are not in a position to

spend money for our children's treatment.

We pray for Amma's mercy and blessings. My mother has

breathing problems. My father also has breathing

problems. So they are not in a position to help us in

any way. I am not in good terms with my husband. Amma

helped us. Amma had mercy on us, we got the operation

costing Rs.16,503 free of cost. We will always be

obliged to Amma for saving our son's life. Now we stay

in a rented house in Kollam. Amma's blessings should

always be with my son. We pray for Amma's mercy and

Patient: Unnikrishnan, Male - 1 year of age

"To love incarnate Amma,

We came to this hospital where Amma's presence is

always felt for my child's heart operation. I would

like to express my gratitude as well as my story to

Amma and the inmates of this hospital.

I stay in Kadavanthra of Ernakulam district. My family

includes my two children, wife and my ill father and

mother. I stay in a hut situated in my father's five

cents of land. There are other three persons who have

a share in my father's land. My brother has built a

house in this land with the loan he got from

Janakiyasothranam. He had to pledge the land to build

his house.

 

I am a coolie. I do this work as I am illiterate and

so I won't get any other job. I don't get enough money

even to fulfill my daily needs. Usually work is very

less these days. It was in this situation that my

child got this disease. My child was under treatment

from the day of his birth (seven months). We had to

spend a lot of money for that. When taken to Amrita

Hospital, doctors recommended a surgery, which was

very expensive. But it was not possible for me to

arrange this huge amount. I got relieved of my

tensions when I contacted Patient Services as I told

them my difficulties and they asked me to pay the

amount which I could afford. But I couldn't arrange

the any money. My son's operation was done

successfully and free of cost because of Amma's

blessings. My child is healthy and happy after the

operation. Thanks to the doctors and staff especially

staff of Patient Services for saving my child's life.

Above all thanks to Amma. My family will always be

grateful to Amma. I believe that Amma's blessings will

always be with us.

Surgery/Procedure: TOF-Intra Cardia Repair

"To love incarnate Amma,

 

My son Fahad, now ten years old, has been suffering

from heart disease since his birth. We showed him to

different doctors and all of them recommended a

cardiac surgery. So far we could not arrange for the

surgery because we were told that the amount required

for this major surgery is very huge and considering

our financial background we would never be able to

raise it. We were spending our time worrying as to

what we should do to solve this problem.

 

What I have is four cents of land. I had borrowed a

sum of rupees twenty thousand from the District

Panchayat to construct a small hut in the place. My

family consists of my wife and two children. I do

coolie work of cutting plant and leaves in the garden.

I get work only for twenty days a month. My daily

wages is Rs.15/-. We have no one to help us. My son's

illness has occurred when I am already in a financial

distress. Thus we reached Amma's Hospital. Here, after

expert investigation, a surgery was suggested by

doctors. I was told that a sum of over one lakh

(100,000) rupees was required for the surgery. I do

not get words to express my gratitude to Amma for

making such a huge Cardiac Surgery free of cost to my

son. We will be indebted to Amma till our death. I

hereby record the gratitude on behalf of my family and

on my own behalf to Amma from the bottom of our heart.

We once again express our thanks to Amma for the free

surgery performed for my son and absorbing sum of over

one lakh Rupees spent for this major cardiac surgery

for our son."
