It remains inchoate whether She means She herself is cognizant, or She in the larger sense of pervasive spirit, but without Her knowledge. Just as She can only say one thing at a time, walk one step at a time, so it seems She can only be aware of so many things at one time, not the entire universe of all possible objects to every level of specificity. This is where the difficulty lies, of course. Does She mean her big or little identity? We simply cannot accept that She, as apparent Amma, is processing all thoughts and moods and complexities of ten thousand, let alone ten million humans, or , worse, all 6 billion and all zillions of sentient beings. So, it is still unclear. Avram

Guest guest
<PRE>There is an issue that seems quite important to those involved here. Recently She and Sw. have been accused of inciting hate against one of the most famous writers in India, Paul Zachariah. This has been made very public in a letter to the head of government of Kerala just a few days ago. I wonder why no one is talking about that on this list? I am sure that things have been taken out of context and that our Amma is blameless in this matter. But, I think it is a matter that we ought know about, in that it is an assault against Her good name. I am looking for light on this issue. I suspect he is grand-standing; if not, he may feel threatened by what Sw. wrote and actually sees it as an incitement to harm him. Again, I do not believe that this was the intent, but he is surely promulgating that view of the Ashram to the media in Kerala, much to our collective detriment. Guest guest
Avram, Why do you build such a hard and rigid wall separating the 'small' mother and the 'big' mother? if it is true that only Amma as spirit knows everything and not Amma as the embodied being- well, so be it . BUT it has been my experience that when the heart calls, the response is there . Do i care if the 'Big Amma registered the call or the 'small' Amma registered the call? - NO. Amma Herself says ' I dwell in your heart'. If that is the case , there can be no question about Amma knowing or not knowing your thoughts. But if you are asking whether the external Mother knows everything all the time- my answer would be ' 'She knows what she needs to know at the right time'. If you are in trouble, She knows it . If your heart calls out to Her, She knows it . This is what i beleive and i find this enough . bala --- sprose1 wrote: > In a message dated 1/14/03 5:23:39 AM Eastern > Standard Time, > Ammachi writes: > > > > To me, this statement of Amma is i think one of > the most dramatic > > ones She has let slip about who She really is.
