Releasing a souvenir `Amuta Ithazh 2003' in the city on Sunday as part of Mata Amritanandamayi Math's four-day celebrations of the second anniversary of the Brahmasthanam temple, he informed the gathering of the conferring of Deemed University status on the Amrita Educational Institutions. This was the first time that the status of Deemed University was being conferred on a multi-campus institution, that too in such a short time of eight years since its inception, he added. Receiving the first copy of the souvenir, Coimbatore MP C P Radhakrishnan praised Matha Amritanandamayi for her services in religious, educational and medical fronts.
