is an attempted description/translation:-

 

Little boy approaches amma from the right and offers a

candy to amma, who is giving darshan.

 

Mother:yaaruku da idhu? (whom is this for?)

Child: onakaha dhaan (it is only for you, nods)

 

Mother:enakku dhaane da? enakku thariya?

(it is for me, isn't it? Will you give it to me?)

 

Child opens the candy wrapper and feeds amma the

candy.

 

Child licks his hand after giving the candy, to get a

taste of the candy he gave her.

Mother also gently (in a split second) licks his hand,

moved by his innocence.

 

[Note: 1. I think Mother finds such innocent devotion

irresistibly sweet!

2. The saliva of a satguru has medicinal powers, no

doubt about it. Those of you who know how the leper

was healed by Amma, will know what I mean.]

 

Child licks his hand again and claps in happiness!

He offers Amma a glass of water and holds his hands

together in the form of a namaskar.
