....Glowing Tributes...

The Hon’ble Governor of Karnataka, T.N. Chaturvedi,

officially inaugurated the Amrita Nidhi Pension

Project for impoverished women in Karnataka today

during the celebration of the Brahmasthanam

consecration in Bangalore.

The following are excerpts from his remarks.

“Mother is the repository of immortal bliss. She

represents compassion, love and kindness. And that

love and compassion are all encompassing. That feeling

of compassion really communicates to whomever has the

opportunity to receive Her darshan and whom She

blesses. I think Her work for the underprivileged and

marginalized sections of society have earned Her the

appreciation of the world, not only our country.

“I was with the Hon’ble Prime Minister just before

coming here. He said that what Mata Amritanandamayi is

doing is something remarkable for the good of the

country, for the various sections of society. When he

learned that I was coming over here to have Her

darshan and receive Her blessings, he asked me to

convey to Her his regards, his respects, and his

greetings.

“When you listen to Her words, which are very simple

but since they arise out of Her compassion for us, Her

overflowing love for mankind, it goes deep into our

hearts and also leaves an imprint on our minds. In

simple words She conveys the eternal truths of our

scriptures, of how to be a good individual and once

there are good individuals there can be a good

society. She really wants us to be good, to do good.

“Her presence is so soothing, Her presence brings out

the essence of peacefulness, tranquility, and a desire

to be something which all along we have wanted to be,

that is to be at peace with others and ourselves. I

take this opportunity to pay my regards with folded

hands to the Mother, Mata Amritanandamayi and we can

only pray that Her grace always abides in each and

every one of us.”

Jai Ma,

Ravi
