Guest guest
Hi Amma Siblings. Now and then someone from Kerala contacts me via email because my name, Aikya, is also a word in Malayalam. The latest two such contacts came from men in the Kannur district. Both know the wonderful dramatic art form of Theyyam in which I have an interest. One is the manager of a cotton weaving cooperative and I will try to find him business in the US. The other has touched my heart. Probably he is about as old as a son of mine might be and he is one of many people in Kerala whose lives have been impacted by Bush's war in Iraq. His parents are Amma devotees so I thought maybe we all can help him. His name is Sujesh. (Individually, we can't stop the war but we can help affected individuals who come to us.) He is 27, soon to be 28, with five years experience in computer...networking. His last job was for a company in Bangalore working in high speed networking (speed storage and securities.) He is more interested in network implementation. He is certified in Cisco, Microsoft and Novell,.CCNA, MCSE, and CNA. The Bangalor company went belly up due to internal financial mismanagement. He prepared to go seek work in Dubai and Bush's war interrupted those plans. For those of you from Kerala, you can understand that this young man is pretty discouraged. He is unmarried and until he gets settled in a stable job, he will remain unmarried. So this is more than an employment situation in this not-so-young man's life. If anybody out there knows of a possible openings or ways to help this person, please write to me privately at aikya. I can provide more info about his family and his biodata, aka resume.
