Guest guest
Hello Nick, I answered you funny before, but come back because I think I can really help. No they are not TDD as we pay sales tax on the items there, I believe because Amrita... Math is an Indian National org. and not federally sales tax exempt in the US. (I work at a Synangogue and I think our org. based in FL has different tax status than an Israeli org. with regards to "sales" even though both may be religious). The "merchandise" on tour is not the same thing as a contribution, therefore, in the Gov'ts eyes. However, you may claim that merchandise for your own personal expenses exemption if you file as 1099 an "independent contractor" and not as W-2 wage earner. I am definately not certain about the tax on tour vs. charitable contribution, but I think that's how it is - happy to be wrong - forgive my ignorance if so. I am certain about the 1099 and W-2 filing as I have been self employed. I can tell you more about that if you write to me. Thanks for giving me opportunity to serve. Jai Ma! Big love! Om Amriteswaryai Namaha! If we buy things at the Amma bizarre when she's on tour, are these considered tax deductable donations? >>
