About 20 miles before reaching Fairfield, I noticed that Amma¹s photo, which was kept in the car, was tilted slightly. I took the photo and held it in my hand for no apparent reason. After about 10 minutes, we had a head-on collision with a semi truck. Immediately after the impact I became unconscious. After sometime I became conscious, when someone reached behind my neck and turned it straight. I enquired about my son immediately. The person holding my neck told me that he is a trained nurse and my son apparently looked good, but was covered with glass pieces. I could not move my left hand as it was jammed between the door and the airbag, nor could I move my body. I tried to reach my son with my right hand. I could feel that blood was trickling from my finger. I was holding onto something, and dropped on it the floor. It was Amma¹s Picture. I reached my son and was patting him. Then only I realized that Amma saved our life. It took the police an hour, using the Jaws of Life, to extract us from the car and we were sent to the nearest hospital. There were no major injuries. The hospital staff were surprised that we were still alive and talking after this accident. Amma¹s jyotishi, Sakthiprasad Swami had predicted that my son and I would be involved in a major car accident. My wife Vaju immediately asked the Ashram to do some Poojas as recommended by Sakthiprasad Swami. I am not a firm believer of Astrology. Mother also cautioned us that we are going through a very bad time. This near death incident has brought a new meaning to my life. Amma is always there to protect every one of us from all our karmas. I would like to thank everyone for their prayers and concerns. Namah Shivaya, Sathy
