Guest guest
I get so many messages from the Amma@ Some of them feel like so much piffle poffle Coming back from India there were about 200! The thing about respecting all life, do we need to talk about it so much isn't it just obvious? Why kill anything? If it does feel unavoidable, like cutting down a tree planted for the purpose of timber or even clearing pioneer plants so a fruit tree can grow, then we could surely can give thanks and have reverence? Even weeds can supply mulch and compost to the circle of life (Lion King philosophy) When in India I was suprised how after aarti one day at Haidakhan Babaji's ashram a viper came and was immediately squashed. Yet Shiva has snakes around his neck and there are snakes painted on the temples where the creature came to! To me snakes represent transformation and divine mother energy, perhaps that is what people are not ready for and want to squash......? Oh look I'm piffle poffling too now!! (if you can't beat em join em) much love julan in South Africa where they kill snakes big-time - balakrishnan Shankar <balakrishnan_sh <Ammachi> Friday, February 28, 2003 1:16 AM Re: Respect for all Life > > Peter > > AS an aswer to your questions, I would refer you to Awaken Children > Vol5 where Amma discusses the difference between 'legitimate use' and > 'exploitation'.
