You already have the resources to be completely with Amma Devi Mata, really,

really!!! This year I'm going to the program, but many times I can't go,

because my life and my finances are such that I cannot afford it. Never mind

traveling to Amritapuri, I have never had the sum of the airfare to my person

yet!

My choice of profession rewards spiritually more than financially (should I

laugh, or should I cry )???) You know, it is all a part of the mind because as

we become more conscious of Her, Mother is right next to us now.. so who needs

to travel? I mean, the tour or the Ashram is a great way to use your vacation

hours if you have that luxury, but if Mother is everywhere and everything,

and you feel it, and you know it (didn't the I-threes sing that?) then why leave

your house? Enjoy being with Sri Mata right now, laugh with Ma, cry with Ma,

go grocery shopping and do your laundry with MA today!!! Start talking and Sri

Devi Ma talks back, with 100% guarantee! Of the few things I know in this

world, for sure is this. Since you are already blessed to *know* Her and you've

seen Her, and you even have a name she calls you, you're hooked up!!! So maybe

when you can't go to the program, you can pray adopt-a-soul and visualize some

other brother or sister who is missing the Grace of Divine Mother, and who

needs it very badly.. wanders into the web of Love in your place and is changed

for the Great Good forever, and then one more advance for Heaven on Earth is

made. That can be your Seva.

and desires by seeing Mother personally and having many darshans, please,

please visualize other souls having a chance at the same while the Queen of

I feel so fortunate to have a (coffee drinking) sister such as you on this

Wow! Just reading your letter was my satsang for today!

 

This more is better western culture urges us to forget what you share here.

 

Some years back, Amma told us all to start feeding her children and the

Amma's kitchens were begun. Since our satsang was too small to start one,

we started volunteering at one already established. Over the years that seva

has become more and more obviously Amma's prasad. One evening as I was

clearing a table so that we could serve a new group of guests, one of the

guests who was leaving asked me how I was doing. I don't remember how I

responded, but it was lame compared to what he said when I asked him the

same question: "BLESSED!" There was Amma reminding me of the same truth you

are sharing with us.

 

Just last week as I sat at the table with 7 other guests sharing our meal

(we divide into 2 shifts and sit down and eat with the guests as well as

serving them in restaurant fashion), one of the guests started sharing his

spiritual understanding. It was from a Christian perspective, but it could

have been Amma speaking.
