Guest guest
AmmasLotus, I hope you get to the program. If you felt so strongly to post here you must need Amma bad. I'm meditating for beautiful a turn for you. At my job we went into the summer with our position of Camp Coordinator unfilled so the job went to my director and I, therefore my summer vacation request was denied so my plans to see Amma on tour were canceled that year. I was sooo Pisssed Offfff. I had not been able to go to a program the previous 3 years because of financial difficulties. I started griping to myself for days "I never went to camp when I was a kid, I can't believe I have to stay here and baby-sit these punks, rotten bourgeois brats!!" It was a yuck frenzy! Then a mom came in to register her kids for summer camp with me and she says "I am really so grateful that the Temple is a safe place for my boys to be, you hear horror stories about daycare, and at least I know they are safe here since I had to return to working full time (voice shaking now)... my husband.. my husband.." and then came a moment like in a Rumi poem where heaven breaks open and starts raining Real Gold! She never finished, she put her hands on her face like a vice, skin turning red, her head lowered to my desk and she started moaning a deep cry. I went to put my hand on her and she jerked it away. I felt like a thousand fiery fingers were poking me and saying "Diana's a punk, a rotten bourgeois brat." Cobwebs in my heart, darkness in my mind, full of myself. Sincerely, The Fully Rotten Brat, hopeful to be dirt under Ma's feet In a message dated 6/9/03 10:01:44 AM Eastern Daylight Time, Ammachi writes: << Jai Ma!!!! I feel so fortunate to have a (coffee drinking) sister such as you on this list! Wow! Just reading your letter was my satsang for today! >>
Guest guest
Namah Shivaya, So much has been written here about how Amma is with us all the time and responds to us etc... I dont doubt any of that, in fact, I have experienced it myself. But, yet, I long to physically see her and in a sense get (re) confirmation that the one who 'communicates' with me and smiles mischeviously when Im not looking at the photo is in fact her! [And you thought I was looking elsewhere, eh, Amma?!] A lot of the folks here are not able to see Amma during the US tour. I will be getting a number of darshans next month and rather than keep asking her about mundane things, I would like to volunteer to communicate to her, any message/question from my spiritual brothers/sisters here, who cannot make it due to any reason. You can reply directly to me instead of the group and I will try my best to respond back with her response, as accurately as possible. This would be my seva. For the rest of us, here's something I read, that's worth a thought or two: 'When you pray for others, the entire universe prays for you'.
