Guest guest Posted June 26, 2003 Report Share Posted June 26, 2003 Namaste Everyone, I must say no matter how much I pray and how many answered prayers I get back, for some reason it STILL suprises me and humbles me..... I have a few questions for anyone who would like to answer....Last Christmas someone burned and sent me some CDs "Amma Bhajans" and "Ananda Veedhi" I listen to these ALL the time as they are the only ones I have, I feel very blistful everytime I listen to them... On the one CD "Amma Bhajans" I hear Amma (or who I believe to be Amma) laughing or what sounds like laughing.....is she..? is she in a blissful state..? and then When a song starts or stops I hear her whisper "Amma"...what exactly is she doing here....can someone explain.... ? Also Can someone tell me exactly what happens at the retreats like in Chicago etc... What are the rutines ....are you only allowed to meditate and pray...I don't know if I could do that for a full weekend.... what else are you allowed to do if you don't have to meditate and pray...what is the curriculum and what do they eat there..... Also If anyone else can burn more CDs of Amma and send them to me I would be so thankful... I guess they would need to know what I already have burned...if so then ask and I will let you know... I am so thankful for the on who burned these for me and sent them for Christmas...they are truly a gift....they remain annomous to this day.... I would love to hear more of Amma's singing... Guest guest Posted June 27, 2003 Report Share Posted June 27, 2003 Don't be scared about the retreat. Most people aren't ready to do hours of meditation and Mother insists that everyone be wwelcome. Retreat is a lot like public programs with a few special events added. You can move around and talk to people just the same as during public porgrams. I went to retreat near my home and drove back and forth each day. I have also gone to Rhode Island where everyone stayed on a college campus and we walked across campus to the hall where Amma was. That was very nice because it was easy to get to everything.
