Guest guest
My brain landed with a thud after reading all the discussion of whether one could declare oneself a "hindu"...I too had an experience recently when someone asked me what my religion was and I replied "Hindu"...I didn't know what else to call what I do. I have been with Amma since 98 and since that time I consider myself a devotee who practices the Hindue religion. In my ignorance (I will spend the rest of my life learning about "Hindu") I believe that I practice the Hindu religion. Genetically in this life time, I was not born into "Hindu", however I trust my evolution in this lifetime to a practicing "hindu" is acceptable to the higher power, God, etc. I found it very amusing that some Indians believe we "westerners" find the music and culture of India "exotic" - myself I find the culture fascinating, refreshing, all encompassing, fun and inspiring. Not exotic. It is like being between two mirrors that face each other, looking at infinite images. Who knows what is real and what is exotic? I find the sunrises and sunsets in Michigan very exotic. ===== Om Namashivaya - In Amma's service, Supriti Omenka Nnadi SBC DSL - Now only $29.95 per month! http://sbc.
