Guest guest
Dear brothers and sisters, Since i posted that mail on sending CD's(i did this for some reason on an inner urge), a lot of people have pointingly asked me whether I buying them or burning them. I just recently got a CD burner and thought that i would make use(or rather mis-use??) of it. I kinda of justified to myself that it was OK to burn CD's and give it to people who may not be in a position to get them now. I mentally asked Amma what should I do and i got an emphatic yes(perhaps this was my EGO answering:-)). I personally do not mind incurring the sin of doing wrong in this case(I will just transfer it to AMMA and ask her to clean it out:-)) but still i dont want to transfer bad karma to others; in my opinion there is no such thing as making up for a wrong thing by doing a right thing. So is it a wrong thing I am doing-- PLEASE LET ME KNOW; by my own admission I am totally rotten fellow :-) but at least there are some really wonderful people on this list who probably might be able to help solve this dilemma? Does anyone knowone what Amma/Swami's opinions on this are??> In total confusion:-), yogaman

Don't think you are rotten since you were going to go out of your way to do this and wrap and address them and pay postage. But I think you are wrong as the idea of the selling of Amma's stuff is to pay for all of the costs of the organization and giving the music away is that many dollars that someone won't spend. If they really want to hear it, they'll find the money. Sorry, dude, I burn copies of this and that for people too, it depends of the situation, each one is unique. Guest guest
I just got back from lunch and for some reason this article was sitting on my IE window(something about the music industry going after people copying). http://story.news./news?tmpl=story&cid=541&ncid=541&e=6&u=/ap /20030724/ap_on_he_me/downloading_music_2 It was like Amma telling me "listen fellow, you dont like seva, you dont like bhajans so I was trying to find a way to help you serve my children, and here you are trying to scam on that too, so if you try to do it I will teach you a lesson you will regret" LOL. So for now I will mail everyone who requested me so far the original 1996 tour bhajan( not copy). If someone already has this please let me know and i will send something else. Aum Namasivaya yogaman ps. hey BTW i am still on the homepage of www.ammachi.org- amma is hugging me(only my back is visible). This is Amma's way of telling that She as Universal mother will embrace all regardless of how much of a low life he is :-) What had happened in the picture was that I got my hug and was about to go off and suddenly I felt that I was in front of the SUPREME MOTHER OF THE UNIVERSE ; something like an electric current went through me and I burst into tears; and so there amma was seeing me cry, for Amma never wipes off tears of joy-that is the story behind the picture. Guest guest
Hey yogaman! I hear you saying you are a lowlife and comments like that and I wonder why you do that? No one is better or worse than anyone else (tho some do make more mistakes). We are all equal, in my opinion. You are just as worthy as anyone! :-) Ammachi, "childofdevi" <childofdevi> wrote: > I just got back from lunch and for some reason this article was > sitting on my IE window(something about the music industry going > after people copying). > > http://story.news./news? tmpl=story&cid=541&ncid=541&e=6&u=/ap > /20030724/ap_on_he_me/downloading_music_2 > > > It was like Amma telling me "listen fellow, you dont like seva, you > dont like bhajans so I was trying to find a way to help you serve my > children, and here you are trying to scam on that too, so if you try > to do it I will teach you a lesson you will regret" LOL. Guest guest
LOL. I am just having some fun at myself; i honestly dont believe that i am as low as i claim(if someone disagrees please let me know):-) I am like some others on this list a strong pitta(fire) type and used to get into heated debates if someone said something non- complementary about me; and so i figured that if i can poke fun at myself, then I will be able to bear anything anyone else says about me:-) AHAM BRAHMA ASMI (I am Brahman) as the mahavakya goes; when I am Brahman myself, how can i be anything but purity... warm regards yogaman Ammachi, "Don James" <djames@t...> wrote: > Hey yogaman! Guest guest
- childofdevi Ammachi Thursday, July 24, 2003 4:54 PM Re: to do or not to do - BURN CD's Namaste All, Oh, my; what kindness and what confusion!!! I truly am delighted to have found this group-I think we'll end up strengthening each other just from discussions like the 'to burn/not to burn" issue! Don, thank you for your extension of kindness for my situation; I have not lost my job but have lost all the income for the summer that we were counting on due to a Board of Ed snafu. Teachers are typically paid for 12 months but can opt for 10 month salary and a goof of some sort moved me to ten months without any warning (our checks aren't big enough to have noticed the difference!) (-: We are truly having an interesting summer- despite how awful the financial situation is, I can't help but be almost amused about the whole thing. Amma's swami, when explaining my mantra, mentioned that Amma would send those people into our lives who should be there - but that this would include some difficult and unwelcome "invitees" as well so we shouldn't expect things to always go smoothly. I simply hadn't expect Her to begin the process the minute I returned home! Now, on to the issue at hand- I really had not given a second's worth of thought to the ethics of burning one of Amma's cd's for group members. While I'm sure we've all contributed to Amma's charities through purchases or direct donations, it does now make me wonder if we would be better not to do this. My financial situation is a zoo right now, but I am more than willing to wait to get the cd until things straighten out. I do think the offer was made with the best intentions and out of love for Amma's children, but let's not deprive her other children by doing this. Thanks for bringing the issue up so I could rethink it. Always, Dixie I just got back from lunch and for some reason this article was sitting on my IE window(something about the music industry going after people copying). http://story.news./news?tmpl=story&cid=541&ncid=541&e=6&u=/ap /20030724/ap_on_he_me/downloading_music_2 It was like Amma telling me "listen fellow, you dont like seva, you dont like bhajans so I was trying to find a way to help you serve my children, and here you are trying to scam on that too, so if you try to do it I will teach you a lesson you will regret" LOL. Guest guest
Dearest Yogaman, I feel honored to have seen this "lesson" come about directly here in my Inbox. Amma works in mysterious ways! The picture on Ammachi.org that you are referring to is absolutely beautiful. Amma is looking at you with such LOVE and COMPASSION! I am sure it is a photo that you cherish. With love, Erica
Guest guest
OM AMRITESWARYAI NAMAHA! Amma says in FOR MY CHILDREN-pp 163 & 164 ( and i am paraphrasing here, but i think it holds true) "if they act for a universal cause, there is no sin, but if they act for selfish end, they sin. dont we cut down trees to build a house? this is not slefish. It is when we act with vengeance, motivated by likes and dislikes, that we sin." so yogaman, the question you must answer is, were you acting from heart and out of compassion for those who could not purchace cd for themselvs, or were your reasons to burn cd of a selfish nature? i believe in you and so does Amma. :) let go and trust in your decision, whatever it may be...to burn or not to burn? namaste in Her grace, we are love. jayashree Ammachi, "childofdevi" <childofdevi> wrote: > Dear brothers and sisters, > > Since i posted that mail on sending CD's(i did this for some reason > on an inner urge), a lot of people have pointingly asked me whether I > buying them or burning them.
