Guest guest
Mild asphyxiation? Sounds good Yogaman! Let's get a copy of this "THE EINSTEIN FACTOR" to george W. right away! But seriously folks, now we are veering into the realm of Hatha Yoga and Pranayama.. I always thought more air and oxygenation, and a breath that's slow and deep was the ideal. I'd love to learn more about breathing techniques. And back to Japa, I like to use my breathing as a guide-post to help me stay focused on my mantra, of course, I do choose to do my japa at work, on the city bus, walking through the mall.. paying my attention to my time of day than the place of my japa. And I don't have a problem with people seeing my beads, if they say "What's with the bag?" I show them. I do have a problem sometimes with interruptions, and responses to outer stimulus while trying to be mindfull of "God". Like chanting at a bus stop and feelings of annoyance at a late bus creep in.. I struggle to maintain concentration on the mantra and see the late bus as Devi's leela. Jai Ma! Guest guest
Thank you Sara Devi! There is a group in India, in Delhi I believe, who gather every day at a set time and have a laugh-a-thon, a "laugh-in" and I saw them on CNN it's hysterical just looking at all these people cracking up, you start to laugh too! They just look silly and before you know it you're looking and feeling silly yourself.. it's super-contagious!!! And as the wise Swami Beyondananda says, "Levity is the cure for Gravity" and when you laugh it makes any day a "Ho Ho Holy day"! Speaking of this, our Guru (who has Her own comic books!), played a big joke on me when She named me "Amarthya" which means "an immortal". This is like a constant reminder to work at sloughing off my worldly self. At one moment the name's an ego stroke as in "Whoah! I'm immortal man" and aren't we all? Then next moment it knocks me down, feeling incomplete and foolish by comparison. It's Divine Mother and the noose and the goad, the noose and the goad, know what I mean? Thanks for the help with the Srimata Tulsi Devi !!! May She bloom and grow! Hari Om!!
