I have found that the best way to dry out flower petals is to let the

air get to them - put them in a shallow bowl or on a plate. I once put

them in a covered bowl on my puja and it ruined all the flowers in

there.

Namaste,

An old crafting trick of mine is to dry out flowers/petals in the

microwave. It doesn't take long at all. Put the petals inbetween two

sheets of paper towel and put something on top as a weight (anything

that will not blow up in the nuker). Microwave them on high for a few

seconds at a time (10-15) until they are dry.

Best of luck!

With love,

I am not sure it is a good idea to apply any kind of heat to any

prasad. There is shakti in flowers, coconut, tulsi leaves that they

give us in temples or in Amma's programs. Microwaving it would be

like heating the shakti. I just leave my flowers on my puja and

store them when they are dry or throw them out - bury them in a

place where man and animal dont walk or throw them in a flowing

stream - like they do in temples.

I have seen Indians make coconut chutney with the coconut they give

us in temples. It is never put in food that is heated.
