There's absolutely nothing that anyone could say that you couldn't label "negativity". It's just a matter of opinion. To try to impose one particular idea of "negativity" on everyone is precisely what mind control is. Stuart -Negativity is like discharge with a battery, it runs the energy out. If you really listen to yourself when you are being negative (not accusing you), then you might actually feel your energy drop. Certain feelings will cause this. Fear, anger, anxiety, envy. You can feel this in your stomach, there will be this tightening feeling, this emotional contraction. The higher teachings about how to live are just practical instructions on how energy and our bodies and existence all interact with each other. God has created reality in a certain way and in order to transcend the suffering, we need to learn how reality works and then follow those rules.
