Guest guest
This week has been a little difficult in our home with family members sick with colds, sore throats and headaches. Sóley, 12 yrs. old,had been sick all week, and really wanted to get well and get back to school. On Weds. morning I suggested to her that she write to Amma. On the Amma web site link, she wrote to Amma that she had an ear ache, headache and sore throat, and asked Amma to help make her well so that she could go back to school. In the afternoon one of her girl friends,Rósa, stopped by the house, on her way home from school. Rósa gave Sóley her homework assignments, and told her that many in the school were sick and not at school. After Rósa left, Sóley took her math book, and sat in the dining room with me (where I was at the computer) and started to try to do her homework, even though she still had a small headache. After a few minutes Sóley asked me if I smelled anything strange. I said, "no". She then said don't you smell it. I again said that I didn't smell anything different asked her what she was talking about. There was a look of surprise on her face, and she said: " it smells like Amma.......it smells like being in the hall with Amma." I was sitting not far from her, at the end of the table. I again said that I didn't smell anything, and commented that she was really lucky; that Amma was letting her know that She was here with her and helping her. This was the first time that this has happened to Sóley, and she was amazed and did not believe it was really happening at first, and it took her a few minutes to accept that it was all real. Shortly after that Sóley said that she no longer smelled Amma, but smelled licorice, and asked if I smelled it to. She asked if she could have some. I smelled no licorice, and I have an extremely sensitive sense of smell, as do most people with MCS . Well, Sóley ate a little licorice and shotly thereafter her headache got better. She finished her math homework ( the first time she had been able to study all week), and on Thursday went back to school. Amma helped her, and we are grateful to Amma for that. Love and Best wishes to all, from Amma's grateful daughter, Sara
