Guest guest
Yes Amma has millions of dollars stashed away in the Red Planet Cooperative bank in Mars, luxurious villas in Venus, a billion foot yacht in the Milky Way...email me for more details. - "markasme" <markasme <Ammachi> Tuesday, September 16, 2003 3:44 AM Re: False witness Dear Rick: A lot of us work very hard for much less. A grocery store clerk, for example, has to STAND for 8-10 hours on the job then go for a second job and/or go home and take care of the family. While I don't begrudge Amma or any human being anything, let's keep things in perspective. Amma must surely be getting a portion of the donations the organization is making. Would anyone know what it is? The last time a friend tried to transfer her frequent flyer miles to me she was told it wasn't allowed. Are there particular airlines or flights they allow you to do so? It is evident you love amma very much. But seriously have you or anyone you know ever asked that question or did you give up that responsibility (so important in today's insane world). Sometimes it could be the people around the guru that need to be put under the microscope more than the guru himself/herself. Either way it would be very irresponsible not to do so. Guest guest
I respect your opinion. I was just presenting an alternative viewpoint. The spiritual path I follow involves losing responsibility so that question doesn't arise, others like you may differ. - "markasme" <markasme <Ammachi> Tuesday, September 16, 2003 4:10 PM Re: False witness > Ammachi, "Ravi Chivukula" > <ravichivukula@a...> wrote: > >Yes Amma has millions of dollars stashed away in the Red Planet > >Cooperative bank in Mars, luxurious villas in Venus, a billion foot > >yacht in the Milky Way...email me for more details. > > > It is evident you love amma very much. Guest guest
I think that is as valid a path as any. I think if some are struggling with these questions, then they should seek the answers to the best of their ability. If others do not currently struggle with the same questions, let's not judge them as naiive - for all we know they have all the answers they need. Or, they simply don't need them at this time. In any case, none of us should JUDGE each other for the questions we do or do not ask on our OWN spiritual path. This is not the first topic where I see some on this list criticising others simply for not sharing their view. Maybe this list isn't for me... Do you personally know of anyone getting hurt because of the above reasons? (with respect to Amma and her charitable organizations) If not, please do as Bala suggested in an earlier email (for 30 years) and then we will see. Anyway, Ravi Chivukula I understand what you are saying about faith and surrender in the context of sadhana. I was talking more outside that box. Guest guest
You are confused, Amma is a human being on one level, but since she is ever established in the supreme consciousness surrendering to her means surrendering to God. Unfortunately these things cannot be explained in an e-mail or silly talk. It has to be felt/perceived and I am sorry I cannot do it for you. If you don't feel the need to donate your money without knowing every little detail that's perfectly all right - that's your choice/karma/samskara/dharma and you should not go against it. - "markasme" <markasme <Ammachi> Tuesday, September 16, 2003 6:24 PM Re: False witness > Yes, there will always be people, gurus and their henchmen, who will > encourage you to give up responsibility, but in the end it is you > who must decide what is right. > > In the name of charity, you may be creating karma for yourself > because YOU are following the scriptures to the 't' and the person > receiving it is not and as a direct result innocent people are > getting hurt. > > Can you not just give your heart to God and lose yourself in HIM. > Why do you have to give away your personal power and money to > another human being no matter how great that person is. Guest guest
Dear Markasme, Yes, I am based in the US, the Twin Cities, to be precise. Amma has blessed me with a lot of experiences in the last couple of years. Someday, I will share them with the list, when I feel confident enough. For now, its all between me and the "Cosmic Beloved" as Paramahansaji says! <gripe> "Think outside the sadhana box" is fine, maybe this is not a place to discuss funding of 9-11. We are all trying to help each other progress spiritually in the path that Amma has graced us with. Which incidentally, is the purpose of this list. Participating in or listening to incessant questioning of Her actions and organizations causes harm to sincere seekers and deters others wanting to find out more about this path. </gripe> So, where are you from and how has your experience with Amma been so far?
