Guest guest
Thus Spake Amma [ FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2003 12:10:11 AM ] We may deny the existence of God, but the intellect cannot completely prove or disprove God. If the intellect were able to prove God's existence — if it could contain God within its grasp — it would only mean the intellect is greater than God. If God can be understood through the intellect, then God and religion are not necessary. Science and the intellect would be enough. What we have to inquire about is the very source of that Power which exists within ourselves. *** A toddler will fall countless times before he can walk properly. Similarly, failures, which are a part of life, carry within them the message of success. Each failure is a step that takes us closer to towards ultimate victory. So don't feel disappointed or frustrated. *** Don't remain in the dark. Darkness is a prison created by your own mind and ego; it is self-imposed and self-created. It is not your real abode, for you belong to the light. You are the light of God. So let go the dark. *** No matter how rich we are, as long as we have no compassion, we, ourselves, are truly living in utter poverty. The value of compassion is immeasurable. *** If there are at least two youths in every village who will set out to serve the world and disseminate spiritual wisdom, we will be able to build a new world of abiding peace, love and fraternity.
