Guest guest
Has an online registration form for next months retreats been put up on the www.ammachi.org site yet? If it has, I haven't been able to find it. >From the http://www.ammachi.org/tours/amma-tour/us-2003.html page it isn't clear whether the Michigan retreat will be held at the Holiday Inn Fairlane (site of Nov. 19 public program, and of last year's programs) or the Westin Detroit Metropolitan Airport(site of Nov. 22 devi bhava)? Guest guest
Hi Keval, I called the MA Center about this very issue. Unfortunately I chose to call Sept. 27, the day of their Amma birthday celebration. The person who answered the phone said that all the people who really "knew" about the retreats were in India, and the local ones who might know more than she did were getting ready for the celebration that night. So I just bit the bullet and bought a ticket to DTW:), hoping the retreat will be at the Westin at the airport. I called that establishment also, but the desk clerk didn't have the schedule out that far, and the other office happened to be closed then. If anyone else calls, perhaps they could share what they find out with the rest of us! In Her, Jyotsna P.S. I checked last night and could find no on-line registration form either. --- Mike Brooker <patria1818 wrote: > Has an online registration form for next months > retreats been put up on the www.ammachi.org site > yet? > If it has, I haven't been able to find it. > > From the > http://www.ammachi.org/tours/amma-tour/us-2003.html > page it isn't clear whether the Michigan retreat > will > be held at the Holiday Inn Fairlane (site of Nov. 19 > public program, and of last year's programs) or the > Westin Detroit Metropolitan Airport(site of Nov. 22 > devi bhava)? > > Keval > > > > The New with improved product > search > >
Guest guest
The retreat is at the Westin hotel. I called the Amma Center in Detroit and they confirmed this. I also emailed whoever is in charge of retreats and they confirmed it also. The online registration is not set up yet. What I plan to do is stay four nites at the Westin, even though the first nite is at the Holiday Inn, and somehow get myself from the Westin to the Holiday Inn on Wednesday (and back). I originally was thinking I could stay at the Holiday Inn Wednesday night and the Westin the next three nites, but I'd rather avoid checking into two hotels. Hope this helps you,. Guest guest
I am not an official "member" of the Amma center in Ann Arbor, but I am an almost-lifelong resident of the Detroit area. I would be happy to shuffle a couple of people from place to place, albeit in my little Saturn ION. I probably have space for two more people, as I will be driving myself and probably Iswari. I think it would be nice to meet up with people from the list while I am there. Maybe I will feel less like a first-timer. Guest guest
Jyotsna, Actually, flying into DTW is probably the best bet for either location. As I just posted, I'll be happy to drive some of my brothers and sisters to/from the airport etc. since I am a local. Perhaps we can work something out! With love, Erica Ammachi, "E. Guest guest
Dear Erica, You are so sweet! And I would love to meet you in person! I'm only doing the retreat though, so as far as I know at this point, I need only to go from where my plane arrives to the hotel. (Is it in the same building?) But let's definitely plan to meet each other at some point! I'll write you off the list with more details!
