Hi,

Maybe someone here can help me out.

The public Darsahn and retreat with Amma in Michigan takes

place in two different hotels. Wednesday (morning and evening)

is at the Holiday Inn Fairlane, and the retreat and Devi Bhava

(Thursday thru Saturday nite) is at the Westin at DTW airport.

I'm thinking of either staying the first nite at Holiday Inn and next

three nites at Westin, OR staying all four nites at Westin and

traveling back and forth Wednesday afternoon & late that same

nite.

Does anybody have any thoughts on this?

I know this isn't a deep spiritual problem or revelation, but I know

next to nothing about Detroit and I'm trying to figure out the best

way.

Many thanks!

J'ai Ma!

Namah Shivaya.

MI organizers recommend staying first night at Holiday Inn and moving next

day to Westin. It will not be very easy to get taxi late Wed. and the

neighborhood is not very safe. Should be more doable on Thursday morning.

Taxi will be about $25, but can share. People with cars can carpool. By

Amma's grace we will manage the move. We will need lots of help packing up

after darshan on Wed. evening and loading up on Thursday morning. So if

you're all fired up after darshan on Wed., please stay and lend a hand.

Also, does anyone know why we are switching hotels like this? I'm

just curious.

Thanks.

Hi Erica,

Short answer: Because Amma loves chaos. (I don't

know what the long answer is.)

A devotee who travels with Amma told me that

Amma once said there would always be chaos around

Her, because chaos is more creative than order.

Nmaah Shivaya,

And because the uncertainty of date of Amma's trip to Kenya left date of MI

program up air so late that MI center had to find a venue after all the

hotels were filled for big 10 football game fans, just like last year.

Thanks so much for your offer, Erica. It will be a big help.
