I don't believe they're the same strings because of the size, but it's definitely something radiating from your client! The strings in string theory (and it's still a theory) are this small: If you blow up a single atom to the size of the solar system, one string would be the size of a single tree on earth. So, not only can we not see them with our eye, we can't see them with any technology available. We will likely not have the technology to see them for thousands of years - they're that small! Testing them is also impossible right now - they're too small to predict any outcome based on their influence. That leaves us with math - and right now, the math fits. But, until something is proveable or observable, it's a theory and "should not be believed" according to science. I tend to agree with that from a science perspective, but that doesn't mean I don't believe in them.
