In my opinion, life is tough, and family members share the good and the tough times together. We have taken shelter under Amma's wing, and we are children in Amma's family. I agree with Amarthya that it is really a strange time astronomically and astrologically. Two major coronal mass ejections from the Sun that have hit earth in one week; and this happening when the Sun is supposed to be in a quiet phase, is very extraodinary. Also, from vedic astrology we see that right now in the sky Sun is transiting through its debilitation sign Libra, from 12:29 to 19:29°. This brings trouble to many, ( including the 60 yr. old man in whose home I live;...he has had 2 painful minor accidents this week at work, tripping over himself and falling , and running hard into the corner of a table) , so you are not alone. The system of Vedic astrology that I study advises the following to protect oneself: 1. short morning prayers, especially before, or at dawn 2. service to others 3. I agree with everyone else in that we are all Amma's children -- brothers and sisters. If you can't talk about your rough day with your family, who can you talk about it with?! This week has been terrible for most people I know as well. It's been a rough time all around. Whenever I am having a strange day, I take a moment to tell Mother that I am paying attention to Her. Sometimes, I feel that these days happen because I'm not paying enough mind to my spiritual self. Usually I feel a lot more centered after that.
