Hi Fellow Devotees..

I have been pondering NDE's (Near Death Experiences) and their

relationships to traditional Vedanta...I have my own opinons and

experiences...but I wonder..what does Amma teach about life after

death?...and transistions of the atman after death?

Also...ISKON/ Prahpupad have an eloborate theology about lokas etc.I

know Amma emphasizes action in the Now..but I feel that some light

shed on this...the most important of human questions is somewhat

critical to sadhana...

After all the concept of moksha..Union with a non changing Brahman or

whatever ...as an abstract goal is not a very alluring destination to

base your life on ....I think 99% of people secretly hope for a

heaven world..either with Krishna/Jesus/Divine MA, higher rebirth

etc....the concept of Non-changing Void is daunting.

Any info/ ideas?

Ommm Namah Shivaya!

Vedanta too has a theory about inner worlds- this is detailed in one

of Adi Sankara's works. In fact Adi Sankara is supposed to have

descended to earth from the 2nd highest world.

Nirvikalpa Samadhi is another beginning of evolution in the inner

worlds but true exit from the earth plane. The Non-changing void

comes only at the end of evolution on the 7th plane. There is some

degree of truth of people going to a heaven with Krishna/Jesus etc,

for in the astral world, there are various regions; where one goes is

only a question of what the dominant thoughts are.

Even a great guru like Sri Yukteshwar went to the fourth world(as per

the AB of a yogi)..

Hare Krishna Hare Rama

We know in Bhagavad Gita Lord says that

dehino 'smin yatha dehe

kaumaram yauvanam jara

tatha dehantara-praptir

dhiras tatra na muhyati

"As the embodied soul continuously passes, in this

body, from boyhood to youth to old age, the soul

similarly passes into another body at death. A

self-realized soul is not bewildered by such a

change."

In this the body is destructible but soul is eternal

abrahma-bhuvanal lokah

punar avartino 'rjuna

mam upetya tu kaunteya

punar janma na vidyate

"From the highest planet in the material world down to

the lowest, all are places of misery wherein repeated

birth and death take place. But one who attains to My

abode, O son of Kunti, never takes birth again."

In this Lord says there are many lokas apart from

Boolokha(where we all are now residing). Highest

planet in the material universe is Bhrama Lokha.

Except lord Krishna's place(GoLokha), if we go to

other Lokahs, we have to take birth again.

yanti deva-vrata devan

pitrn yanti pitr-vratah

bhutani yanti bhutejya

yanti mad-yajino 'pi mam

"Those who worship the demigods will take birth among

the demigods; those who worship ghosts and spirits

will take birth among such beings; those who worship

ancestors go to the ancestors; and those who worship

Me will live with Me".

This is one of the beautiful sloka, wherein Lord

stresses to worship him alone to get the highest

liberation from birth and death.

Hari OM!

Blessed One,

There is no Union with Brahman, We are already that, just remove our

ignorance "Like a dust is removed from the mirror" Brahman is not a

sperate entity. Union with Brahman mean, like the Wave says that I

want to be one with the Ocean!

If the Wave thinks that I am sperate from the Ocean, then all this

Maya, the plural World occurs. The concept of Heaven and Hell is here

and now, Heaven is a state of mind! Everything for that matter is the

state of Mind! The purity to the mind is given by SadGuru's like our

Ammachi.

Om Nama Shivayaa!

Seeking Amma's Blessings

With Love & OM!

Krishna Prasad
