London Darshan story:

I saw Amma in London on Nov. 10, 11, and 12th. It was wonderful and

difficult, as is usually the case for me.

We are usually able to get darshan once every day during the program.

This year, on the second day of the program we were asked not to go

for darshan because so many new people had come to the program for

the first time. So, we did not.

On the night of the second day's program I was feeling very tired

and wobbley...my legs were shaking under me and I felt I could not

last until the end of the program. It was about 2:30 AM. So, I said

to my friend Ása that I needed to go back to the hotel. Ása was

disappointed as she wanted to stay until Amma left the hall, but

decided to go back to our room in the hotel with me. We were in an

unsafe area of London, and it was better that a woman not to be

alone that late at night. We got a taxi and headed back to the hotel

( a 5 minute ride in no traffic, and a 25 minute ride in heavy

traffic).

So, in about 10 minutes we were at our hotel, and as I was getting

out of the taxi I saw Amma looking at us. Amma was waiting for us in

the hotel entry way.

This sight was a fantastic surprise. Amma was staying at the hotel

too; and She was there waiting for us to come into the hotel,

before going on to Her own room.

I got up the steps and into the hotel as fast as my crutches and

legs could carry me, and said like an excited, happy, little

child , "Amma , You are here !" Amma then kissed me on the cheek

and also kissed Ása on the cheek and said, "No Darshan" to us. She

then quickly went to the elevator and to Her room, and left us in

stunned, blissful amazement.

So, we got our darshan on the second day of the program

from our ever compassionate Amma. Her timing was perfect; as only

She could have timed it. We were the only two devotees present in

the entry way, besides those accompnying Amma.

Ása lost all disappointment at having left the hall early.

Dixie , I hope this small story does something to fill the void we

feel while some of our brothers and sisters are seeing Amma on tour.

In Amma's Love,

Sara
