Guest guest
These stories remind me of something that happened to me a few years ago. Amma returned to NY in August (she had been here for her regular darshan programs in July) to participate in the Millennium World Peace Summit at the UN. We were hoping that we would be able to see our beloved Amma while she was in town to speak at the Summit, but we were told that this would not possible. I was so devastated to know that she would be here, but not available to any of us. I missed her soooo much! Anyway, there was a demonstration organized by the Tibetan community to protest the exclusion of the Dalai Lama from the Summit (due to pressure from the Chinese government), and I had arranged to meet my friend there. I thought the demonstration was going to be right in front of the UN, and so I went to meet my friend there. It turned out that the demonstration was actually taking place a few blocks away...but I arrived at the entrance to the UN at the exact moment that Amma's car was pulling up and she was going in -- so I got my wish to see her, after all! =) Iswari
