Om Namah Shivaya,

Thank you, Omana, for bringing Amma's words into this discussion. As always, I

am reminded of the simple elegance of Her teachings. Funny that something so

simple is so difficult for me to DO . . . Ego ego ego! For me major tapas are

required!

Reading what appears to be a snowball of misunderstandings, I felt

somewhat disturbed and went to Amma's writings for solace. I opened

Awaken Children IX and what should Amma tell me...

"The disciple's humility-his attitude of being an absolute beginner,

and his acceptance and awarenenss of his ignorance-makes him open and

receptive to true knowledge, which the master then pours into him.

Humility is the gateway to real discipleship, and the master will

himself set a perfect example of humility." Amma

My prayer (strictly for myself but offered here to my brothers and

sisters)...My beloved Amma, help me to always approach life with the

humble certainty of my ignorance. Help me to be receptive to Your

grace from which true understanding will follow.

May we all respect each other and approach each other from a place of

love and compassion as our Divine Mother instructs us to.

Jai Ma!

Sri Mata to the rescue!

And here's the quote for the day on amma.org:

"Love consumes in its flames all preconceived ideas, prejudices and

judgments, all those things, which stem from the ego." ~ Amma
