Guest guest
Namah Shivaya, Dear Iswari, Never mind the criticisms - back to your original question about confidentiality... I think your assumption was correct that it is to keep the method pure. If I took the class and then just started sort of telling a friend how to do it, I may leave out important details or include something that isn't part of it. Without being a trained instructor in the method, there is no accountability for passing it on. Like someone else pointed out earlier, it could end up harming rather than helping an individual. Also, there's a possibility that those who are meant to take the class must commit to signing up for it, travelling there and taking the course when and where it is being taught - this effort implies a level of dedication in the learner and preserves the value of the lesson being taught. This effort is rewarded with Amma's grace. Why the method is no longer contingent on the guru/disciple relationship I couldn't say. Perhaps Amma knows that those who take the course have been or will one day be a disciple. I would say that just as a loving mother will feed her son's friends at dinner time, our Mother will share Her grace with Her disciples and whomever they bring to the course. Ultimately it's not my concern I suppose - my concern is developing my discipline to such a point where I am ready to make the commitment to learning IAM.
