Renunciation within our lives

 

Renunciation should become a part of our lives. If we'are accustomed

to buying ten new outfits of clothes every year, cut down the

purchases by one this year. Cut down one more next year. Thus we can

reduce our wardrobes to just what we really need. The money saved by

ten people in this manner would be enough to build a house for some

deserving person such as one who is handicapped or destitute. This

in turn may encourage them to become a devotee. Many others will

also improve their ways seeing our rightousness and selflessness.

Cut down the luxuries, not only in clothing but also in everything

else and use the money saved in this way for charitable purposes.
