Guest guest
MEDITATE WHILE YOU WORK : A NEW PATH FOR A NEW AGE (36) Swami Ashokananda Some have said, 'It's all very well to say "I am Brahman, Spirit", but it is difficult to maintain this consciousness unless you have given hours and hours to real meditation on God.' Don't you ever believe those people. They have never tried it; therefore they say this. Don't you see that your thought has made you what you are ? Say you have a sense of fear. Why are you afraid ? 'Well, all my life I have been afraid. Even as a boy I had a sense of fear.' Change your thought. If you were taught as a boy not to be afraid, not to fear things, you would not suffer from fearfulness today. Look at people who are brought up with the thought that they are masters; they are masterly in the way they behave. Just thought does it. Do they have to be trained in meditation in order to feel these things ? They don't. I sometimes look at pictures of lion cubs. Even as cubs, they have a certain fierceness about them. You can well see that if you monkey with a lion cub he can look you in the eye and say, 'Remember, I am a lion!' That's it. Be a lion-cub. Roar !
