Guest guest
Namaste, Dear yogaman, a while back you offered some advice to a list mate who needed help and I am hoping you - or anyone else - can do the same for me. I am having a real struggle with allergies/breathing and wondered if you know of any exercises to help with respiratory distress. You also gave a mantra that can be chanted to help banish illness- would you please post it again? Thank you so much, dear brother. Guest guest
Namaste Snehalataji, There is actually a very good breathing excercise called the Buteyko method(a very good primer for those intending to start on pranayama)- this is the only non-invasive therapy that has a 99% success rate for asthma- in fact the range of diseases cured by this technique is astounding. There is a good book on the subject called Breath Free by Hale Berry- I highly recommend this book. The only reason more people have not heard of this Buteyko technique is that since there is no product to patent, no one profits from selling this. The mantra is called Maha-mrityumjaya mantra- the foremost healing mantra. Primarily the purpose of this mantra is to prevent accidents and premature death- for quick results this must be chanted in the two hours before sunrise and preferably 1000 times daily. This mantra is available at http://users.bestweb.net/~om/yoga/MMantra.html And an audio of the mantra is available at http://www.siddhashram.org/audio1.shtml#m20(slightly longer form of the mantra, ignore the first line and the last line) Aum Namasivaya, yogaman Ammachi, "Dixie Thacker" <dixielou@s...> wrote: > Namaste, > > Dear yogaman, a while back you offered some advice to a list mate who needed help and I am hoping you - or anyone else - can do the same for me. Guest guest
Dear Snehalata, Try also using the Neti Pot. It has helped me GREATLY with my nasal difficulties in the past. Be sure you use pickling salt and not regular salt in the water. Hope it helps.
