Guest guest
So i yanked myself away from Her after San Ramon to come back to Maui to work to pay off my school loans before earning the renunciate fee, per Her request. Now, it is unbearable to be here. No satsang, no home, rents are outrageous and I dont know any spiritually minded-hearted people to live with. SO tonight, I am wondering if there is anyone who can help me from an idea where I can use the eleven thousand i have already saved towards some sort of business investment to make it grow to forty thou. I was thinking perhaps Indian imports but I dont know where to sell them or even what could sell these days when the market is getting so saturated. Does anyone have any hot ideas of unique marketable items or how to find/create possible venues- web pages, etc. so I can at least be in India working some of the time rather than in this tamas-thick place and so I could be with Mother sooner than if I have to make that much just from my massage job which is pretty hurting lately anyway...? Please excuse me if this sounds mundane but Mother is requesting me to be grounded enough that I make alot of money and I have no substantial business experience but have often considered the possibilities of Indian imports. Guest guest
Sorry 'little sister' Reg The business ideas.. Not much ideas from myside , When I was in london I was there in many new age groups. There I had seen people bringing crystals and all to sell ( very less space to transport ) . I had met a lady who was bringing silk sarees and all from india to UK and was selling that, I guess she was delivering that to shops there . Think of bringing a right mix of items so that the customs bottleneck can be avoided.I don't know about US ads .com sites , But in india & UK there are fres adv. .com sites ( online + offline ) : http://www.freeads.co.in/ , http://www.loot.com Reg. your current job.. sorry to comment about your bread and butter job too.. ( Ha Ha!!! In general western people have a complaint about indian people that indians don't keep boundaries ) . Oh .. No No not applicable for amma devotees . In one of our alternative group in UK , we had these hugging sessions and all . haha , intially I enjoyed that. it is true if with the 'right person' hugging is healing. later I could feel that as the people are from a bit 'abnormal' thamasik background , My aura is getting affected. as u said a kind of thick feeling. I will recommend to drop the massage job if you have other alternative. Else do the following to minimise its impact. 1 ) Wash your hands in (hot) saline water immediately after the session. *** ( technique used by many healing groups to minimise the negative effets of the other person) # In your case use camphor and bell ( typical puja items , ha ha ) also .Just do an arathi for amma 2 times a day.(highly recommended for western kids) There was few query few days back on "optimising sadhana" , ha ha , few tips which i learned during my journey. General tips ( just few recap. "nothing new , may be helpful for amma's new kids , ha ha !!! ) ---- ----------------------------- 2 ) Do expose to sunlight everyday (indian traditional way is offering water to sun chanting gayatri mantra). or even doing tai chi / chi gung / yoga in presence of sun is best. 3 ) Keep an "oil" lamp on your altar (ghee is the best) and light it 2 times a day during your prayer/meditation. 4 ) Try to learn some yogic breathing techniques like bhastrika, Ujjai and kriya, practise it regularly. 5 ) Chant you mantra ( if don't have a mantra , chant om namah shivayah , it clenses all the chakras) while .. - as soon as you wake up - while having food (*) - while taking "cold water" bath, massage each joints of the body while chanting mantra - before u go to sleep(*) + normal chanting rounds to finish your quota. 6) About food - - Add more and more raw food to diet , No more nonveg. - No tea coffee alcohol , less spicy ,less oily foods - Drink lots and lots of water , 4-5 litres, early morning 1 litre. - Once in a month : Pure juice diet, Fasting , Use laxatives. 7) As soon as you come home after an outting , change your dress immediately ( heyy , especially for party people ha ha ) .. Atleast wash(or clean with wet towel) your exposed parts like feet, arm , face and head. O God , this baby got exhausted , hope it is the same for those who (?) read this mail too. let me do some bhastrika .. hmm.. hmmm.. hmmmmm ... cool !!! rest laterr .. do share your tips too.(Pls avoid referring Mr.ABC , XYZ organization/path etc) Om Namah Shivayah. Guest guest
Namaste to you sister, I think Amma sometimes purposely puts us in undesirable/unfavourable circumstances- this is her way to bring to consciousness all the debris inside of us. Sometimes we try to escape all of this by going away someplace else and soon we find that whatever troubled us before is still waiting to haunt us in the new place. The strongest oaks are those that are beaten by the weather the most, not the ones that grow on a sunny beach. Now Amma says that when troubled by the mind, focus on the breath; slow and rhythmic breathing makes one calm and composed; if this alone is done, one can face most alarming situations in life. Breathing at the rate of 3-4 times or less every minute is the quickest way to esctasy. Breath is a long and endless topic, but controlling the rate of breathing is a good start. Regardng financial/other difficulties, here too Mother has gifted the world with the priceless Lalitha Sahasranamam. Chanting this early in the morning at a fixed time, removes most difficulties of the sadhak. Chanting the LS at a fixed time preferably before sunrise for 40 days will surely create a significant change in our lives. For business opportunities - I think there is scope for importing Ayurvedic medicines in the US. Most of the medicines available today are very expensive and this market is rapidly growing. The good news is that some of the best Ayurvedic medicines are made in Kerala. There is a place in Hawai that imports medicines from Kerala Ayurveda Pharma(one of the bad things about Hawai is that shipping charges are very high to the mainland) ; I am sure that more franchises can be opened up. But it is best to start out on this venture if you already have a steady income from another source.
