Guest guest
Namah Shivaya all, Swamiji wrote back and said that I should restring the beads and use them for japa again; "Amma must have broken some of [my] karmas like this". I guess it is the act of breaking that causes this, rather than the by-standers (beads). Guest guest
Namah Shivaya, I've had malas fixed many times and was beginning to wonder if I had done the right thing, and should find a nice lake to drop my malas into. A couple of the malas broke simply because they were strung on weak wire - one just after I bought it. I had the beads restrung and the mala hasn't broken since. Also, I used to sleep in my malas, which is not only uncomfortable, but tends to break them. It's hard to know what is mechanical and what is Mother breaking (taking) karma. Jai Ma! Guest guest
Dear Nisseema, I would be very happy to fix your malas. Please email me privately so we can exchange details, if known, and addresses. I'm in California. I love making malas. I made one this year for Amma to wear on Devi Bhava. I was told that she would not wear it, because of this and that, but she did. My birth mother always rejected all presents given to her. They were never right, so having that mala rejected by Swamini was hard but Amma knew. Guest guest
Namaha Shivaya Neesima, Did Swamiji say that karmas were broken by this? Guest guest
I would think it'd be a hard thing for Swamiji to know for certain! There are multiple reasons why a mala could break...although when these things happen multiple times in close proximity, I suppose we all wonder....what is our Amma up to now!?! ;-) Love, Iswari Ammachi, wrote: > Namaha Shivaya Neesima, > > Did Swamiji say that karmas were broken by this? > > Thank you, > > Sweta > > Erica <sugarandbrine> wrote: > Namah Shivaya all, > > Swamiji wrote back and said that I should restring the beads and use > them for japa again; "Amma must have broken some of [my] karmas like > this". > > I guess it is the act of breaking that causes this, rather than the > by-standers (beads). > > AUM AMRITESWARYAI NAMAHA > > With love, > Forever marveling at this electronic age we live in, > Niseema > > > > Aum Amriteswarayai Namaha! > > > Sponsor > > > > Links > > > Ammachi/ > > > Ammachi > > > > > > > > Mail is new and improved - Check it out! > >
Guest guest
Swamiji did not say for CERTAIN that the malas broke because Amma broke karmas, but suggested it as a possibility. If only one had broken, I'd probably have shrugged it off to mechanics. Since two broke within a week, it really had me wondering... Who knows what our Amma's plan is? Only she knows... I feel better knowing that it is okay to restring the beads!
