Guest guest
It's been several days since I attended the Boston program, but the day-to-day crowded in and I didn't have time to write my experience. Before I begin sharing my experience, I just want to say what a joy it has been reading all of the digests and hearing all of these wonderful stories! I haven't had a chance to respond to many of the posts, but I just wanted to express my gratitude that this mailing list exists. It really helps get my mornings started on the path of joy. I had seen Mother for the first time on Sunday the 18th in NYC. I wrote about my experience there, which was literally the happiest day of my life. Well, I prayed that I might be able to see her once more before she left America, and somehow through the grace of God I was allotted the time off of work to go to Boston this past Wednesday with a very dear friend of mine who had never met or heard of Amma before. When we entered the hall, I was asked if I had seen Mother on this tour and I answered yes and I was not given a token but my friend got her token because it was her first time. It was around 9pm and I was told to come back at 11pm to see if I could get a token. I was a nervous wreck. I didn't know that I might not have the opportunity to receive darshan because I had seen Amma so recently. My friend was nervous too, because although we wanted to receive individual darshan….we wanted badly to go up together. It was 11:15pm and the person who was handing out tokens was late. I was nervous and anxious….horrified that I might not get a token and be in Mothers arms again before she left America. I prayed to her to please let me get a token. After much pacing about, I was a bundle of nerves when I finally got up to the woman given tokens. She asked if I had seen Amma very recently, and I replied that I had indeed just seen her in New York….at which point I burst into tears. She gave me a token and I ran back to my friend, ecstatic. The 2 ½ hours I had to wait to try and get a token seemed like the longest hours of my life. But then….in an instant….I learned why Amma made me wait so long. Even though my friend got her token at 9pm and I didn't get mine until around 11:30, somehow we ended up within the same group of numbers! We received Mothers darshan together….first my friend and then I immediately after….just as we had wished for!! I never cease to be amazed at the way Amma can orchestrate such things. My darshan was much longer this time, and I realized that she was chanting "Om" in my ear…same as she did in New York. The emotions that welled up in me were even more intense than New York. I couldn't stop crying the whole night, and my friend, who had never heard of Mother before was touched beyond belief.. The end of the night was so difficult. It was so hard to leave. As we were driving home, we were both so filled with longing and separation and a blast of rose fragrance shot through the car. We looked at each other stunned…and then smiled, of course, knowing that it was Amma. We got VERY lost in downtown Boston and we were very nervous. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a white dove shot out and flew so close to the windshield we thought it was going to hit the car. A white dove in downtown Boston? It was truly a magical night all the way around. Yet now, I am going through a sad time knowing that it will be another year before I am able to see Mother again. Yet, she sends signs everyday that she is always nearby…even though the physical distance is miles and miles. I am curious about something odd that happened during my NYC darshan and then again in Boston. Maybe some people here can give me an opinion? Immediately after I walked away from Amma after my darshan in NY, the middle of my foot was burning and I looked down to see a perfectly red circle on the top of my foot. It hurt so badly that later, when I went to put my shoes on, I was wincing with pain. I cannot understand where the sore could have come from, as we were all obviously barefoot in the hall. It did not appear until immediately after my darshan. I thought this was strange, but didn't pay much attention to it until it happened AGAIN on the OTHER foot in the EXACT same spot immediately after my darshan in Boston. I felt the same stinging sensation and my foot was swelling up in a circle in the same spot that the New York one came up….just on the other foot. Now, my right foot is turning into a scar and the left one (the newer one) is still red and hurting so badly that I can only wear sandals that won't touch the sore. When I put my feet together, I now have two red circles on each foot in the same location. I can't quite wrap my head around this and I have wracked my brain searching for some kind of explanation. Last night, I saw a picture of Amma with a sandalwood and red circle on her feet in the same spot where I have mine…but I have no idea what that means. What could this be? I am obviously missing the point on something. I have included links to photos of the marks in question. If this has happened to anyone else after darshan with Amma, I am eager to hear about it! Thank you! Guest guest
Dear Michelle, Namah Shivaya. Belated reading all the messages. Wondered if you got any responses to this part of your message. Have been seeing Amma since 1987 and have never heard of anything like this. Just wondered if anyone else had. Sounds pretty unique. If you haven¹t gotten an answer yet, I¹m sure eventually Amma will find a way to explain it to you. Welcome to Amma¹s cyber circle of love. premarupa Aum Amriteshvaryai Namah > I am curious about something odd that happened during my NYC darshan > and then again in Boston. Guest guest
Namah Shivaya, Very interesting. Sounds like a case of "stigmata"... Maybe in the future, Amma's devotees will start manifesting unusual bruises on their right cheeks and other signs.... ;-) Here are some guesses (I offer these in the spirit of lighthearted, fun speculation :-) ): * this is Amma's way of letting you know of the deep connection She has with you (perhaps in a past life you were also a devout devotee of Amma and worshipped Her feet many times) * the painful sores are a relatively gentle (and unique!) way that Amma is helping you burn off old karma * Amma is working on your subtle and etheric body getting you ready for some accelerated spiritual growth * this is Amma's way of inspiring you to deeper levels of devotion * combination of the above As always, be careful not to be attached to the phenomenon, and see if you have any Amma dreams.
