This was wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing. I

have heard people often speak of Osho with not much

love, why is that? Everything I've read of his is

lovely, and I really like the Osho Zen tarot cards.

shhhhhh .... osho having a notorious brand name , our moderator uncle peter will

kick us out of this group ..... shhh ... and I am damn sure that I will be the

first one to go out, because of my bugging nature .. ha ha !!!

that's y I did not respond to manoj's comment about his mumbai dynamic

meditation last time .

 

I am not an enlightened one to make comments that oceanic genius, I have spent

more than 3 yrs hanging out with osho friends in Mumbai , Pune , UK & Holland .

just few "immature" comments

 

*) He was the only one india, who have consolidated the knowledge about all the

masters of the past, in the east and the west . have written nearly 300 books in

English .

*) He has brought almost all the alternative therapies in the east and the west

under one umbrella

*) May be the only ashram having 6 active meditations a day, each one having an

hour duration Have around 10+ standard meditation techniques ( cleansing

techniques)

 

So why so many critics ?. Problem was not with him, He made an effort to bring

even the worst cosmopolitan people to get a taste of meditation. Hence tried to

entertain everybody. For people who want to meditate more and more his books are

the most amazing on earth. But this positive comment is about his techniques

and the knowledge through books.

 

Problem was only with "his people".

 

*) He wanted to bring spirituality to market place, He never said NO to anything

even to the down to earth hippie people. So it became a community for fun

seekers too. Out of his zorba the budha approach, many followed ONLY the zorba

path.

*) He wanted to focus more on the poisoned rich segment, who is having more

trouble than the poor.Because of heavy

entrance fee and tests which are done have raised a lot of suspicion in

people.

*) I know many of the teachers of the groups in many place are taking that role

just for money and fun, mainly in europe. in US because of the rajneeshpuram

people's life style that too became another source for gossips.

*) He has challenged and criticized almost a-z people , to indian ex prime

minister , president ... to US president ronald reygon (after the slow poisoning

effort) .. pope , Because of his rebellious nature his books are banned in 30+

countries even now .Out of his multidimensional therapies one was laughter

therapy, Many times to create laughter in the people he used to tell "non veg"

jokes and all, which provoked many serious seeker groups in india.

*) He has talked about tantra, which got misinterpreted by many people, confused

many seekers. But people often forgot the conditions under which that resonance

happens.

*) In the early days in many of the centers, people were coming to listen to his

discourse. Now it has become to come for discos .. and drinks and .. During my

last visit in pune last year, I noticed half of them were western party animals

who came from goa . few of the people and drugs supplier from goa too moves

along with this people , known to only very few people. Heard the same trend in

kulu manali area of himalayas too .

*) The approach in many of the western centers are very different and "pleasing"

for normal people, which provoked the serious seekers.

 

like briana mentioned about few yoga teachers living like anything, same became

the case here too. there are sincere seekers, but the matured ones are very very

few and very difficult to recognize for a beginner. many got scattered into

different groups and all in india. After his death, many sincere seekers started

moving to other masters as well. I had seen many osho sannyasins ( I mean good

people ) during amma visit in london. Even the very famous advaita teacher

oshana (ex friend of osho) was there to get a hug from amma in 2002 . When osho

people are coming back to amma , it is not wise for amma babies to have

curiosity on that path.

 

shhhhh ... too much , I could see the curiosity and seriousness on many people's

face . ..So full stop for ever pls .. we need to consider about others feelings

too.. It is not fair to discuss to much about another master in amma's group.. I

wrote so much, just because there was an official osho book recommendation in

one of the matruvani 2 years back.. hence .. anyway, no more threads on this

again pls .. Peter uncle is searching for a loong stick for us .

 

ngiahhh .. ngiaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.. .. nooo .. first one to manoj , he is the one who

started this .. give him an extra punishment to stand like a statue for a day ..

yehhh !!!! ... then another two pinches to briana and punishment of standing on

head with stretched hands ... hey heyy !!!! .. she is a yoga teacher , she can

easily do it .. hiheee .. and to me ?.. not required .. see .. piscue .. piscuee

...l am tickling peter uncle .. and he is laughing like anything now .. now can

you imagine what will happen if I tickle brianna, when she is trying her

sheershasana ( standing on head ) .. la la laaa .. piscueee.. even amma will

start rolling on the floor with laughter.. hey heyyy ..
