Guest guest
Namah Shivaya, This was on a web site unrelated to Amma. Maybe it will be of interest to anyone who hasn't read it. A Few Words About "Embracing The World" Amma's 50th Birthday Celebrations in Cochin, India When the idea of Amma's 50yth Birthday Celebration was raised, Amma immediately dismissed the idea, saying that "Amma is not interested in any birthday celebrations for Herself. She knows that there is no birth or death for Her." However, Amma had earlier mentioned that in the year 2005, a large-scale disaster, either natural or human-induced, would occur. Amma also suggested that a spiritual gathering be organized with devotees from around the world to pray for world peace and harmony, in order to reduce the negative impact of such a disaster. Remembering this, Amma's children then decided that Her 50th Birthday could be celebrated with this focus in mind. The flyer continues with several paragraphs outlining plans for various ceremonial events and summits at Amritavarsham; I won't repeat them here since this information has been widely published on various internet sites. The flyer concludes by saying: So, we encourage all of Amma's children to come to India to participate in this unique event, and be a part of these efforts to promote world peace. For details, come to the Amritavarsham (Birthday) table in the hall. Win 1 of 4,000 free domain names from Enter now.
