It’s best not to make major purchases or sign contracts during this time period. However, Mercury retrograde is a good time to clear up old business. The two major slow moving planets, Jupiter and Saturn, change signs at almost the same time, which can be quite significant depending on the strength of these planets in the new signs that they occupy in your chart. Jupiter enters Virgo on August 27th and Saturn enters Cancer on September 5th. Saturn will be in Cancer going forward until November, then begin to retrograde back into Gemini in January returning to Cancer in May. Saturn in Cancer has historically been a difficult transit. Saturn transited Cancer during World War I and World War II. Saturn in Cancer brings up issues of people wanting security so in the upcoming election issues such as social security and financial security through employment and investments should become important. Since Saturn in Cancer also tends to bring up fear, people should not vote from a place of fear. It’s also important to stay grounded in your spiritual practices, increase your sadhana, and be in the present with a feeling of Divine love.
