Dear Jim and Sweta,

 

I agree that there are aspects of the Ammachi experience that may be

cultish, however, I believe that this is more on the part of the devotees than

anything caused by Amma. Some of Her devotees behave as if they are in a cult,

but

I agree with you that Amma is pure and has no intent to drag anyone into

worship or relationship with Her. I think for a cult to be a true cult, the

person who is the center is causing people to believe they must do or believe

certain things, including giving money. All Amma wants is for us to love one

another.
