Guest guest
In a message dated 12/31/2004 2:12:57 PM Eastern Standard Time, Ammachi writes: But Amma on the contrary immediately after the catastrophe, sheltered and fed all of them on the Ashram grounds, consoling them forsaking even sleep and have initiated reconstruction of new houses for them etc. That, my friend, is a true miracle; compare what Amma does for poor people in Kerala to all those "rationalists", whose only occupation it seems is name- calling. I would agree that that is the impressiveness of Amma; no one could ever take that away from her. Just making the point that there are factors which can explain how the ashram inmates escaped, elephants included. There is more than a good chance, isn't there, that a good number of the fishermen out that day were devotees, so wouldn't that make it untrue to say that no devotees died, if that's what people are saying? People start to say things like this is an omen of horros to come, due to our evil, etc., and I just feel like pointing out that in China in the past thirty years, even more people died from tsunamis and it didn't mean anything. I mean not mean anything in terms of omens from the Cosmos, God, Jesus, or whatnot. I am just trying to keep things in perspective, everybody.
