Guest guest
Namaste, Sarama, thank you for asking; I am always amazed by the concern and support I find here; Mother has a good group of children! Things have been changing so quickly that it's hard for me to even keep up. As I'd mentioned, the lung biopsy did not provide the information the doctors had hoped it would, so the first diagnosis still stands-at least until they do the chest biopsy, which should be scheduled quite soon. They're hoping it will provide an explanation for the extreme swelling of the lymph glands throughout my chest (normal glands are about 1cm and the ones in my chest are 2.5 cm). On the up side, this one still won't be the 'chest cracker' type; they'll go in through a hole in the hollow of my neck and take samples from the glands behind the breast bone. The focus is now to find out if I have lymphoma or Hodgkin's Disease. My breathing is going down hill fairly rapidly and I'm pretty sure the glands along the collar bones and under the arms are swelling, too. I turned in my grade book and the key to my class room last week and let my principal know this will probably be permanent. My attitude hasn't changed much; I'd be fine with not going through this, but still hold firmly to "Thy will, not mine." I am hoping, though, that Mother will see fit to clear the way for me to get to Iowa this summer if She makes it there. Financially, it'll be tricky, but even more worrisome is traveling so far with the oxygen. There are venues closer but I don't think I could handle the longer lines, etc. I would also like to know if anyone from the Fairfield satsang knows of an ayurvedic doctor in Fairfield who would evaluate me while I was in town but let me pay for the help over an extended period, but I really do have great faith that it'll all work out as it is supposed to so I'm not stressing about it. Again, I can't thank all of you enough for staying so close - it's hard to fall when you have such good support! Guest guest
Dear Dixie, I'm so sorry to hear that you've been having such difficulties with your health! About your concerns about lines to see Mother...I strongly suggest contacting the satsang of whichever city where you plan to go see Her. Here in NYC, we've been able to make special arrangements in advance for a few people with especially serious conditions, by making the greeting, priority seating and lines coordinators aware of the circumstances, and arranging a good time for them to come and get put into the priority line right away.
