Dear Friend Sara, This is not an unrealistic fear, as it happened to me, but I don't think you have to worry about combs or brushes that haven't been used for a while. I thought about trying to bid on one, and get it as a birthday present for my friend Vani; but then thought that she would be too worried whether or not the hair strand had lice on it, and might not enjoy it as a birthday present. So, I left that idea. Vani was very worried after we returned from AV 50 that she had brought lice back with her.
