Its Wednesday, March 23rd and Im in my room liberating mosquitoes from their current jivas and listening to Amma singing bhajans downstairs. Happy Spring to everyone back home!... Some Ashram News: - Ive heard that Amma is planning to build a walking bridge over the back waters to Vallikavu. Apparently some work on the land-based foundations has already started, but I havent seen much evidence of this. - Ive heard rumors of Amma starting an organic farm in Vallikavu... - Sunday, some westerners took a short trip north on the Beach Road to inaugurate the laying of a foundation stone for a village of new homes. - The director of the French film Darshan was at the Ashram last week. I talked briefly with him. Its going to be in the Cannes Film Festival in May! The first 30 minutes are about Ammas life early vintage films included. The second is on tour with Her during last years North Indian Tour. Then the last 30 minutes are at Amritavarsham. Were all hoping there will be a showing here at the Ashram... One other devotee asked a question about what to do when they have to leave the Ashram and are missing Amma. Amma said that we should reflect on all the sweet times we had with Her which will help dispel our longing. We should hold on to these like precious gems and take them out from time to time and polish them... Not much more to say today. Until then, may you all have fond Amma gem-stones to take out an polish from time to time! Dear Rick ~ thank you so much for sharing these gems (and the others) of current life at Amma's Ashram...what wonderful reading it made. I felt that, in a way, Amma's answer to the devotee about missing Her was a kind of answer to my turmoil about being separated from my daughter...reflect on the sweet times and hold them like precious gems...very good advice. The documentary sounds awesome. I wonder if it will eventually be available for sale through Amma's bookstore. You mentioned Amma's US Tour, but I have checked and checked the website, and so far, no dates or locations are posted. Does anyone know when this information will be available. I really want to see Amma this year, and it will take a bit of planning, since I am not in any of the places she visits and because of my health. Anyway, thank you again for all the gems and snapshots of life at the ashram. Jai Ma ~ Linda
