Guest guest
OM amriteshvaryai namaH Namaste Friends, My 2cents! The appearance of a Guru (Light) is much like the burning of Karma ... we all have some past karma which we have to burn ... this is the period of suffering (skepticism/unhappiness etc) we all go through ... until a point when the yearning becomes very acute and desperate and sincere .... then out of the blue ... like a thunderbold the guru arrives and lifts you ... its like giving a glass of amritam(nectar) to a guy who has been stranded in the desert for 12 years without an iota of water!!! When I was 16 years old ... I started astrology all by myself ... and for 10 long years I struggled ... felt desperate ... lonely ... dumb ... stupid ... you can add all the adjectives here ... and then when I had almost given up ... he entered my life!!! In my philosophical pursuit (11yrs) I have tried many paths ... Swami Chinmayananda, Jiddu Krishnamurti and all the Jnana yoga ... and then I stopped looking out !!! Just then out of the blue ... someone just handed me ammachi's pamphlet ... and it was with me .. then my Guru (astrology mentor) told me that he was planning to meet ammachi ... about whom I had heard through my mother ... when I was young ... and did not care much! I went to Marlboro, MA and expected a gathering of perhaps not more than 50 people ... (I know it sounds stupid ) ... to my amazement there were 7000 people ... well I told myself lets really see who it is ... when I hugged her it felt great ... most importantly ... unlike other so called intellectual gurus who lecture for 3hrs ... she spoke for 15 minutes ... and got down to business ... . hugging!!! I really liked her no nonsense approach ... at this time ... this was what I was looking for ... some love and affection ... not some pointy-headed pedant lecturing me half-baked philosophical gyrations!!! Thanks Warm Regards Narayan Ammachi, "Adriane" <a1driane@s...> wrote: > Amma had made this statement at a retreat. With time's passing, > perhaps the word was "spontaneously". Guest guest
Another cent. Amma amazes me because in 15 minutes she can give the essence. Something the pundits can never get to. Amma amazes me because her outflowing of Divine Love is for everyone. And it is without end. In my darshan with her in LA this year, her voice was hoarse. That really touched my heart because it reminded me of the thousands she had already held in her arms and comforted on the tour. Amma amazes me because no ordinary human could do what She does. When I saw the film of her in India and Sri Lanka during the tsunami and afterward, I had tears flowing down my face. She showed her Authority, her leadership and her compassion and generosity. What a Mother! Amma amazes me because She is a Satguru, a Jagadguru, an Avatar and she is here now and available to all of us.
