So as we were flying at 39,000 feet from Singapore to Trivandrum, we lost compression (ever feel like a balloon that's being blown up?), the yellow masks dropped down, and the airplane dropped 25,000 feet in one minute!!! Yikes! First they told us nothing. Then they finally told us we would divert to Kuala Lumpur, then after an hour to get there, they told us that we'd go on back to Singapore "where there are better landing facilities and better mechanics to fix the plane."... Dear Jyotnsa ~ I'm sooooo glad you shared this (I think). This whole story is truly incredible. Of course, I would have been passed out on the floor and so would have been wonderfully oblivious (the last time I flew, I passed out, freaked the staff out ~ fortunately my mother was there, and a doctor, and they made the crew feel so much better when they told them I had just had a panic attack ... LOL). And then Amma's charming statement when the bramachari came to tell Her that the plane had crashed. I read about a similar situation where Amma saved a plane because a devotee was on it. I guess if I'm going to see Amma, I can just close my eyes and lean back (yeah, right ... LOL ) I didn't know whether to laugh or cry when I read your story, especially about your desparate planning about how to get home without flying. The whole story is a great one ... great story, great experience, Great Mother. Jai Jai Ma ~ Linda
