Guest guest
Dear Georgeson, When the pangs of Amma's departure have been fresh, hoping to soften the pain, I've planned to visit other enlightened teachers. It had the opposite effect. In Awaken Children I, Amma says it's good to be attached to the Guru's form, but to simultaneously realize the Guru's omnicient nature. If we're overly attached to the Guru's form, then it can lead to problems. (Very paraphrased.) Amma also says to have faith that our True Self & Her True Self are one. This seems to suggest that once we've found our Guru, it's for our own good to look for Her within ourselves, rather than outside of ourselves. Today I wondered how I can keep going on without being in Amma's physical presence. Then I remembered that Amma says to see everything as coming from God or Guru. Could this mean that this physical separation is what I now need, since a good Parent wouldn't give anything less than the best to Her children? Missing Amma so much seems like an impetus to seeking Amma, apart from Her body.
